What the other guy said. The first one had the benefits of being novel, having a more interesting mystery plot, funnier jokes, better characters. it wasn't awful fur childslop and there were some funny bits but I think it was probably worse.

It was fine, I liked the almost murder mystery style plot of the first movie more and also the rainfurest parts because I like rain. Animation was still good, but maybe too many callbacks to the first movie
