The algorithm does that kind of thing a lot. On those occasions when I'm using a browser that doesn't have an adblocker it also constantly shoves ads in my face that are obviously phony and potentially dangerous medical advice about "parasite cleanses" and "one weird trick for weight loss," etc., etc. Occasionally I am sufficiently annoyed to report the ads, but I don't think anyone's driving the bus. I don't think anyone reads the reports.
If I try to look for funny AI covers of old songs, it makes a tone-deaf "playlist" that after two or three songs always turns into horrible 1990s country-western and gospel slop. It's also constantly shoving "NIGHTMARE FUEL! This poor sea turtle was being eaten alive by parasites!" stuff in. Holy fucking Jesus, I don't want to see that shit. I don't even want to think about that shit. How does the algorithm get from "Neko-Arc cover of Sympathy for the Devil" to "oh look, body horror?"
