Kinda hard to come up with a single answer, LoZ: A Link Between Worlds is (imo) one of the objectively best games like, ever. Perfect pacing, great story, the world is open, but not in the way that Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom is (which is a good thing), there's a lot of things to collect to upgrade your items but not an overwhelming amount, the wall merge mechanic is incredible and done super well, and the graphics are really good fur a 3DS game (and it surprisingly has some of the best looking 3D effects, even though it's a 2D Zelda lol). It is a pretty easy game, but if you want more challenge you can play hero mode, and the game isn't incredibly long, but imo when one of the biggest flaws of something is that you wish there was more, then that thing must be pretty good lol. Granted I played that game when I was in like 8th grade and it's been a while since so I could be nostalgia blind, but man, when I beat the game, I went back and 100% completed my first save file, then made a new one where I played on hero mode and 100% completed that save file too, I was sooo hooked.

Long nerd rant incomming
Context: I'm a huge fan of the HD-2D artstyle that the Octopath Traveler series created, (see first pic) I've always loved pixelart and I love the way that style kinda modernizes it. I've played the first two Octopaths, the weird gacha one on mobile, Triangle Strategy, and the LiveALive remake (although I didn't care much fur that one it still had good visuals), only because I love the artstyle of those games that much.
With that said, Dragon Quest III (HD-2D Remake) is maybe one of the worst gaming experiences I've ever had. First of all, it is not HD-2D at all!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the sprites in the game have such a high resolution that they hardly even look like pixelart, and the backgrounds aren't even pixelated at all! The game just has such a terrible look to it because of that, especially on the world map (third picture). In Octopath, the characters look like they belong in their world, in DQIII, they stick out and it feels so jarring. And maybe it's because I played it on switch but it also didn't run all that well, a lot of pop-in from background stuff and sometimes the cutscenes would glitch out lol.
Even if I didn't care about the presentation, just playing the game was awful. I've played a good amount of RPGs, I have the patience and attention span, but man, DQIII had some of the worst fluffing combat I've ever seen in an RPG. It goes something like this:
>enter dungeon
>shitload of random encounters (I know those are necessary in RPGs, but they could have toned down the frequency by like 25% at least)
>enemy casts some retarded fluffing spell that just randomly 1 hit kills party members. No way to dodge it besides literally just having a high luck stat.
>if they kill all your characters who have revive spells, you have to leave, go to a town, visit a church, pay money to revive them, and return (you will face 6 billion random encounters on the way btw)
And the combat is one of those RPGs where you select your entire partys actions befure the enemy attacks, and you just have to watch them all play out at once. IMO that like completely kills any strategy when you can't tell what order the enemy and your party members will act.
The jobs system is stupid, basically you can change any party members job (if they're lvl 20 or higher) to a different job, which resets their level back to 0, while letting them keep any attacks they learned from their previous job. Sounds cool, but anytime you swap jobs, unless you went online to check you won't know if you're potentially missing out on learning some really good attacks from their previous job, you don't know what level is best to swap at unless you go online. Swapping jobs is like one of the best ways to level up your stats since characters still retain some of their stats from their previous job, but that just means if you wait until your party member gets to level 45 to learn all of the mage spells, they wont be as strong as someone who swapped jobs like 5 times and only knows basic ass attacks.
Lastly, the story just kinda sucks ass, it's just basic "oh know there is like a demon king and stuff and you gotta like kill them". The protag is silent, your PARTY MEMBERS are silent, they are literally made in like a character creator. Not having interesting party members really kills any enjoyment, it's also part of what I don't like pokemon fur. I guess you can't really blame the story being basic since it's a remake of a game from like 1980-something, but idk it was just so bland and boring to me. I couldn't even remember the name of the main villain when I was playing.
Honestly theres probably more I could complain about it but this is already long enough and nobody is going to read this shit lol. Honestly that game might be the worst thing I've ever played
