>what gives art sovl?
Fur most people, it's anything that isn’t ai porn sloppa and they can appreciate it for what it is. But, I like to believe that there’s more to it than just that.
Every artwork with some semblance of sovl tends to be authentic and is an expression of the artist themselves.
It’s the kind of artwork that isn’t being compromised in its vision by external forces (such as executives trying to water down art to make it appealing to the lowest common denominator or terminally online activists trying to shape art into their own sensibilities).
Having sovl doesn’t mean being masterful at what you create. It means you were willing to put the effort into what you are making and willing to bring a bit of yourself into it. "Bad" art has its own charms to it and has sovl.
I don’t really often see these kind of artworks often but these spaces like this one really allow artists draw their vision without compromising themselves to an algorithm.
