I could see why you might find it unfair that a furry artist on Twitter could make more than a construction worker, but just because a job is difficult, that doesn't mean it pays a lot. That's just capitalism or whatever. I mean, CEO's make thousands of times more money than their workers, they aren't working thousands of times more, aren't they?
And to be fair, the vast majority of artists who take commissions do not make more than construction workers. Google says the average pay fur a construction worker is in the low $20's per hour, an artist would need to take $140 worth of comms every single day, which I really doubt they do. That's why so many of them are always begging fur money on Twitter, "help pay fur my sugery! help me move out of my parents house! help pay my bills while I ghost my clients!" lol
Any construction worker is free to attempt to become an artist if they think it would be a better job. I'm not saying being an artist is hard, but it does take at least a few years of learning befure you're good enough to actually make money
