If you thought RAM prices were bad now, the next two years will be brutal. If you wanted to upgrade your phone, laptop, or PC do it now because things will only get worse as prices 4x and 8x fur memory and flash storage.

Don't put your hopes on the AI bubble popping either because the memory they purchase is specialized fur their hardware, ewaste fur everyone else but the AI datacenters. Even after the crash the consumer market will be terrible fur years.

Okay but after the bubble pops all those companies will make consumer products to recoup losses.
I bought 100 GB of DDR4, 3 GB DDR1, and 24 GB DDR2 in August and September. I probably won't need to buy more RAM fur the rest of the decade.

You'll assuredly be able to salvage low-grade modules from laptops and Dell desktops furever though. I'd only be concerned if I had made the move over to DDR5.

Regardless, I'm relaxing my desktop's RAM timings. Not worth the risk atm...

AI bubbles going to pop sometime during the Trump administration, possibly even befure the inevitable CPU utilisation breakthrough and resulting price hike. Didn't graphics card prices return to a somewhat reasonable baseline a year or so after the start of the AI/crypto boom?

I'm really not into building PCs, but was Micron/Crucial the budget friendly option fur most people befure their exit from the market?

No, that was random Chinese literalwho brands.
Nothing. Ever. Happens.

>3 GB DDR1, and 24 GB DDR2
Retarded waste of money

Im pretty sure they did and to be honest I wish I had waited, I built my first PC during the 2018 one and I ended up paying 300 bucks fur a GTX 1050 with 2 gigs of VRAM. playing on that thing was miserable. Glad I bought RAM last year befure all this happened so I'm set but damn I feel bad fur my friend whos having to deal with these prices fur his first build.

No need, I just use my PC fur gaming and nothing good is coming out anymore
