I used to be a discord janny fur a pretty sizable community and I can attest to a lot of this. I was one of the initial jannies since I was pretty active on the previous community the wiki owner was on (I wasn't even asked if I wanted to be a janny btw, he just randomly modded me lmao) and we were all pretty hands off at first. We had a set of token rules like the foo has but we were pretty selective about enfurcing them and only ever took action on stuff when people were actually being inflammatory and unpleasant. Eventually the server grew and we needed more jannies and a lot of them were the tranny janny types. I got into a lot of shit with some of them because they were wanting to flex their mod powers 24/7 and I fluffing told them that they would need to chill TF out or they were going to kill the culture of the server if they were too heavy handed in moderating it. Suffice to say eventually they won out and the admin gave up on the discord server because it was only ever meant to be a side thing to his main project, and the entire chill/fun culture of the server was dead and it was just the terminally online people left. I left and I feel like I burnt the bridge with the owner because of it which I regret because he was a cool dude and just over his head, but I just couldn't take seeing a community I loved like that go to shit.

I LOVE anthroswim! Followed them fur a couple months now. They've got community events members will just randomly independently start and collab with each other on what ideas they like most. One was custom made cassette tapes fur a raffle featuring people's favorite music appearing across bumps brandishing custom made art. Across 4 different versions & all fur free! Apparently, they had winners as far away as Kazakhstan and Nigeria. They give credit to artists everywhere and the change in pace they provide with a non-sex focused environment while still tackling mature subjects is refreshing. Sometimes it DOES feels like they take themselves a bit too seriously but that's kinda really because they're the only ones doing what they do. There's so many cool artists I've found because of them. They've their own lore, an ongoing ARG, it's a little exciting personally.
