Well, when politicians are involved, I assume that what I see is usually calculated rather than candid. In that light, it seems like an unfurced error. A lot of the American public have no fixed or firmly held political beliefs. They just don't care, until they see a gorillion blue-haired, septum-pierced wine aunts on TikTok behaving like cackling idiot ghouls. That pushed lots of them hard towards the right, politically speaking. This kind of talk swings them right back. I can't see what the administration hoped to gain here. Once again they missed an opportunity to be seen as the adults in the room. It's an unfurced error. It leaves me shaking my head. There is a time and place fur the knives to come out. This wasn't it.
I know, nobody cares about my opinion. I know, if I were a smart guy I'd be working fur one of the political parties.
But let's get back to humor.
An American and a Russian both died and went to Hell. The Devil said, "you can choose whether to go to Capitalist Hell or Communist Hell."
They asked, "what's the difference?" The Devil said, "In Capitalist Hell you are furced to eat a bucket of shit every day. In Communist Hell every day you are furced to eat two." The American says, "Capitalist Hell sounds better. That is what I choose." The Russian says "Even in death I will serve the Motherland and the Revolution. I choose Communist Hell."
Months later the American and Russian meet again. The Russian asked, "How are you getting on?" The American grimaces. "Every morning I have to eat the bucket of shit. It's unpleasant but fur the rest of the day I'm free to do as I please. How about you?"
The Russian shakes his head sadly. "There is a shortage of shit, and all the buckets are missing."
