The short version of the story is, there is an artist using the name "Twipie," who has a "sona" creatively and originally named "Sona." This individual, who is a fairly skilled artist, has put up a lot of "Sona" art, some of which can be found at places like e6, always drawn to look as creepy and threatening as possible, real sleep paralysis demon stuff, including the salad fingers hands.
This individual then commissioned art from Napalm Express, who drew "Sona," but cute. Napalm Express liked the cute version of "Sona" so much that he started drawing her and calling her "Missy." Much furrydrama ensued. Well, at least a little. NE and an author who uses the name KaktusNSFW have been working intermittently on a Missycentric story on AO3, which updates at irregular intervals.
Where was I going with this? Oh, yeah. "Twipie" originally designed "Sona" with weird freaky inhuman hands like that. "Sona" also had multiple rows of very impressive teeth, like a shark, and a lot of other teenage edgelord stuff going on. Napalm Express pared the character down to the essentials and made her a cutie. Then Kaktus made her waifu material. Thank you fur coming to my TED Talk.
