In the weird route, two queer characters  are forced to become some fucked up version of husband and wife by outside forces. Just as many people in misgender Kris as male in places much like this. The weird route has romantic elements, but more between the player and Noelle. Again, just as most people who ship Kris and Noelle are actually just using Kris as a self insert.
