Not necessarily. People can like villain characters if they are charming, funny, badass, or something else. If they don't have anything like that then yeah they would be unlikeable. Invis and Doodleanon like Mayami, and she is evil

I don't think the raceswaped Averis really have much going fur them. I'm not a big fan of either of their designs, Japveri is kinda ehhh and Nigveri's hair is just weird lol. And they don't seem to have much personality outside of their race steryotypes either. I could see them having potential though, if there were more art of Nigveri acting like a sassy black woman I'd probably like her more but most people just treat her as an Averi with a big butt lol...

I argue that only having a cast of good natured characters can be boring. Villains can be likable if give them a personality and some quirks. I find furseiseki to be compelling as she is a raging control freak who speaks in desu. Mayami is cute and charming and her hatred fur humans (and her culture) makes her stand out.

Got around to doing one of the memes I liked the most from this thread, might do a few more at some point :() I think Embyr would also like a lot of 2000's emo rock bands like MCR as well but I ran out of space lmao. Soprana likes a lot of old hippie music since it's what she grew up with and she loves pirate metal because her father is a famous Pirate. Marco is a pretty salt of the earth guy so he likes a lot of folk and rock music since it's what his mom and dad listen to.

That's a pretty good placement fur her. She works in her adoptive dad's bar and he's a cheapskate when it comes to hiring people so she works most positions so she would know how to upsell stuff to drunkards and probably also do back of house stuff like payroll and inventory. Though in combat she's definitely a rogue/thief/agile archetype character.
