If (You) don't like something then post what (You) like instead

This board is an archive of threads that would otherwise have been slid and pruned (deleted). If you have a thread you'd like saved, post in the /meta/ thread at >>>/anthro/ with a thread you'd like a mod to save.

Draw everyday until 7/21, apologies for the interruption, and forgive me for it.

Art was not lost however, an archive will be uploaded soon.

one guy melted down throughout 400+ posts and made him leave because of that

I am glad this event was hosted. It gave me motivation to keep practicing pencil drawings even without much prior experience, and I was always happy to see others post their works as well.

I like the fantasy focus of your characters. If there's a story to go with them, I'd be glad to follow it.

Actually, it started with Walt Disney, who was the first ever person to draw a silly little talking animal guy in 1928.

You did more than most. What matters is that you don't give up. I had my own share of struggles, but I worked through them and I know you can too.

Dont be so hard on yourself, at least you contributed , and thats more than enough, finishing a piece is one of the most hardest thing an artist can do

Don’t beat yourself over it. We all have our own pace and everyone is just happy that you did your part in this thread. You didn’t give up and made something, that’s all that matters. You did good, anon.

>>1429
Did you not use references before?
Replies: >>1432
>>1431
I always draw only from imagination, cuz I believe this will make me STRONGER and I won't depend on refs
But this is not quite trve, i'm spending TOO much time. I have tormented my brain enough (in a good way), now I think some texture or material refs will help me become STRONG faster, gonna try this shit. maybe this will even improve my noob coloring
Replies: >>1433 >>1434
>>1432
Not using refs will only help you more if you already know how things work. It's like a next step after using refs
Replies: >>1435
>>1432
I used to be the same way, until I realized that there was no reason not to use references. The only reason I would choose not to use them now is if I'm too lazy to find some.

there are probably some cons, but im too tired rn to think about it. Also Pinterest is absolutely good for ref search

How'd you get this picture of me
Are one of you actually posted up in Brunei? When i download pics from a certain artist ITT it shows me the location
Replies: >>1443
>>1442
How the hell does downloading images show you their location. Should I stop posting images here, because I don't want some random guy to announce where I live. Hopefully whoever that guy is, was using a VPN or something, because I don't want an artist to leave the foo because they got doxxed

Tends to happen if you manually make it do that or have picrel turned on, it's fairly hard to do on accident

admins remove the metadata from picrels
im sure that every other site does this, i think.
Replies: >>1448
>>1447
I think it'd be hilarious if the site backend added random metadata to each image file instead. "Okay, which one of you is posting from Antarctica?"
