I honestly thought it was one of the better shows on adult swim at the time. At least aesthetically becase shit like Squidbillies and ATHF looked visually jarring to me. But yeah, the humor tends to fall short apart from a few skits.

I'm 06 and Adult Swim and Adult Swim shows have had absolutely zero cultural presence throughout my life outside of the internet. Even then, the only ones that had any organic presence (i.e not cultural hand-me-downs from Millennials like... fluffing... Bojack Horseman or whatever) around my cohorts were MDE and Smiling Friends.
