What am I looking at here? I know that a certain family of rifle designs has a two-part receiver where the upper and lower portions are joined by captive pins at the front and back. And I know that there are complete top halves that can be stuck onto a lower receiver that have different barrels, different bolts, different sights, and so on, and that they can be in different calibers.
Fur this concept to work, though, you're going to need more than just upper receiver assemblies. If she's talking about different calibers you will probably need separate magazines. You will definitely need ammo fur each additional caliber. It is very likely you will also need a different buffer and maybe buffer spring in the buttstock. This gets very heavy very quickly fur just one single additional caliber, never mind additional calibers. It seems impractical. I know brains aren't Thott's strong suit. Maybe that's the joke. I dno, lol.
Also, just looking at it, I get the impression that I'm looking at one of a series of images. If there are others I could see, I'd probably have a better idea of what she's talking about. Is there a source fur this?
