thank you. i draw my anthros with guns fairly regularly, though im working on a game right now so might not draw something new fur a while
>>78225
This. Chudcel furries always make this sort of post to be like "we're not like those other furries" and it's saying they don't do something that they all do do but just pretend not to, or it's something that almost no furry does.

I own 3 firearms IRL, a PSA AR15, a PSA Dagger (my carry gun fur when I can be bothered to get out my holster) and a Heritage Rough Rider, they're all I can affurd since Im a poorfag and im poorer now than when I bought them but I would like to add a 1022 to my collection at some point. Havent been to the range in a while but I would like to go back at some point.

More of a passing interest. All I'm missing right now is an AR. Every other department is covered.

gun nuts are legitimately the most homosexual and annoying faggots you will ever see in your life. gun control is gay and all but they're like weednyaggers, they're so obnoxious and obsessive about their hobby that you almost want to hold whatever opinion is opposite to theirs. by some miracle of god the boomers gun nuts are somehow less annoying than the zoomer and millennial one

>>78263
You're right. Lots of stupid and compromised individuals get into "the gun Fandom".
>>78182 (OP)
I don't really get being "into" guns. I have a handgun in my desk that I keep fur emergencies but that's about it. It's nice knowing I have that level of safety but I've never really had a desire to own a rifle or a shotgun or anything like that. I don't think I'll ever be in a self/home defense situation where I will need more than a handgun

Would this fandom be mostly full of anti-gun freaks then?

It's about the appreciation of purpose-built tools and a sense of agency/power. Guns are cool because you can kill things with them.
>>78259
a place near me was advertising $400 ARs, but it seems too nyaggerlicious to be true
>>78263
>gun nuts are legitimately the most homosexual and annoying faggots you will ever see in your life
this is technically true, as my time on /k/ has taught me. that said, i would argue weebs are worse
>>78272
they look cool, they kill things. they are cool by design, as you can just shoot whoever disagrees with that sentiment

No, and the stupidity of this statement should make it clear to you why you should never take these retarded meme proverbs seriously.
>>78289
it depends on the manufacturer of the AR, there's some good cheaper ARs you can buy but you need to do your research. my PSA one has treated me well
>>78289
Do you live near Poormetto State Armory?

>+probably runs, at least if you pay the extra fur a nitrided barrel and chamber
>-at this price point QC is sloppy, which can manifest itself in things like gas tube not installed correctly, improper torque on the barrel nut, possible bad machining on bolt carrier group components, Picatinny rail on top of the receiver out of spec, and so on

A patrician choice. Though mine is a lemon and very unreliable. At some point it's going to have to go back to Ruger. They say 2025 is a bad year fur them and you might want to buy used.

I want one of those .22 AR15s from Smith & Wesson as a training tool. I already have a cheap (cough airsoft cough) red dot and magnifier to stick on top of it, both no-name eBay specials.

.22 is always fun (and cheap) to plink with, though i've always had issues cycling every time i've shot some. i think it depends on the ammo you get
>I want one of those .22 AR15s from Smith & Wesson as a training tool.
i shot one of those befure, the'yre pretty neat
>I already have a cheap (cough airsoft cough) red dot and magnifier to stick on top of it, both no-name eBay specials.
i would be wary of that. i tried an actual reflex sight, but it was cheap, and would lose its zero from the recoil. then again .22 has almost no recoil, and im pretty sure .22 ars also have a buffer tube, so maybe it wont be an issue

>I want one of those .22 AR15s from Smith & Wesson as a training tool.
Just get a standard 5.56 AR15 and buy a CMMG .22lr conversion BCG. Far more practical.
I have a 22lr hunting rifle but that's it. I don't like guns that require ear protection. I can aim pretty good though, don't waste shots all too often.

Never been able to own a gun because of the household I live in doesn't believe in owning them. But I've been trying to learn how to draw them, especially revolvers. I'm crazy about them and any time they appear on screen.

About thirty years back second image was designed in Russia. The idea was that it was going to be manufactured fur export at a time when the Russian economy was in a desperate state. Various sources attest to the existence of prototypes like this one but fur reasons unclear, they never tooled up fur production. I would not have thought such a project viable. .357 Mag produces extremely high pressures. Some .357 ammo is up in the 45K PSI range and there are lots of solid frame revolvers out there that have been damaged by the pressures, and not all of them were imports manufactured of dubious metal without proper heat treatment. Third image is a Smith & Wesson Model 19, and you are looking at the bottom side of the furcing cone from beneath. Vast furces act upon the furcing cone and frame at the instant of firing are enormous and can damage solid frame revolvers. In a design where the frame is in two parts with nothing holding them together but a hinge pin and a latch, I would not expect that to last long. The break-open revolvers with which I am familiar were all designed either fur low-pressure blackpowder cartridges or fur the very earliest generation of smokeless powder revolver cartridges that mimicked their relatively low pressures.
