First one so far :D
I usually draw super slowly, (this probably took ~2.5 hours to finish, which is actually much faster than usual since I was rushing to make sure I wouldn't miss the first day lol) but I'm hoping that trying to finish a drawing every day fur this will help me get better at drawing quicker.
My mouse, bothered by some fallen leaves, since summer is basically over now...

The OP took me 3 hours, but unlike you I didn't shade or add a background. Spent probably 30 minutes on coloring and majority of my time was playing with the lines and trying to get the proportions right. The hardest parts were the forearms and boots.

Well it came out very well regardless, I try not to stress too much about taking a while to draw, as long as I am actually drawing at all, I'll still feel productive. They're very cute, I love felines with those tufts of fur on the tips of their ears :P And your lineart and very detailed, you do the clothing folds really well, especially on the pants

Of course, I love it when people draw my characters and I always save everyone! Not that I would ever complain about receiving fanart of any of my characters, but Kiki is definitely overrepresented in the fanart department so I am extra grateful to anyone interested in drawings my other characters.

I would say that I draw pretty quickly because I don't care about having perfect linework. I know most people don't feel that way so as long as you are satisfied with what you are doing you should keep on doing it.

No, they are part of completely different stories. Xila (The Black Cat) comes from an alternate version of Earth where she turned everyone into monsters, and now she seeks to do the same to our world. 

Mayami is one of the two leaders of the Elanian Empire from a backwater planet known as Tithe. Her race (nodes) along with several other races, including humans, crash landed on the planet thousands of years ago and created their civilization without ever knowing they weren't meant to be there.

I would like to have them crossover since Xila has her dimension hopping powers but I have to actually finish making both of the stories first.

Incoming power scaling nonsense:
I would give the edge to Xila. Mayami is strong naturally and it helps that she is three feet taller, but she is more laid back and doesn't care about training or self improvement. 
Mayami has some x factors that could help.
- Slowing down or speeding up the passage of time
- Furesight from the eye under her eyepatch
- Ability to create illusions and alter people's perceptions
Xila's powers are more applicable in a fight though.
- Instant transmission
- Energy blasts (i.e. Kamehameha type stuff) 
- Telekinesis
Shala would be a more fair fight cause she actually cares about tactics and bettering herself both physically and mentally.

I'm planning on having a roster of different playable characters with each having their own unique weapons (3 max). Right now I'm just using Robin as a test bed fur the weapon systems since that's the only sprite I've animated so far.

I'm glad you like her. She has only existed in my mind as a mishmash of my tastes fur some time so it's nice to take her from just imagination into something tangible. I'll try to doodle her every day and we'll see how my skill improves over the next two weeks. I suspect drawing her long skirt in various poses will prove a challenge but it will be fun to try

It's a little embarrassing to say but I tried some AI generation and just had it on the other monitor and just eyeballed it (rather than tracing). Not too big of a fan of using that kind of thing fur a reference but I figure someone who draws regular humans would be allowed to use real humans fur reference, and since anthros unfurtunately don't exist that's the best alternative. It was mostly nice to try and get down the proportions and the lines necessary fur different angles into memory so I'll know how to do it in the future. Learning to draw is more fun than I thought

Thank you! Sorry fur the late reply I'm only just now seeing this. To answer your question, no, my lineart is hand drawn. The way I draw is usually by making pretty detailed sketches and then tracing over them fur the lineart. I basically try to make the sketch detailed enough that I won't really need to think when I do the lineart and I can just trace it easily. And when I do the lineart, I have the correction/stabilizer (might be called something different on other programs) set to pretty high which results in the lines coming out smooth. I also try to make longer strokes so each curve is usually a single stroke. As a result though, some things like tails are a pain to do the lineart fur, fur example >>2963 her tail outline is only two brush strokes and it can take several minutes of trial and error to get them to look acceptable lol.

Todays drawing, Rabbit Link, from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 

Since it's the weekend and I could spend more time on this I decided to draw a background, and I think it came out sooo good :D I'm really happy with this one. I definitely feel like I should try adding backgrounds to more of my drawings but they're pretty difficult fur me lol 

I'm a big fan of Zelda so I'll probably do another Zelda-related drawing next week, probably like wolf Link from Twilight Princess or something :P

Kinda hard to fur me to give a definitive answer... Probably The Wind Waker? I loved that game when I was in middle school, and I beat it twice on my Wii U, and I beat the original on the Switch 2 a few months ago. I love the artstyle and the story is definitely one of the best in the series. I also really liked Breath of the Wild, I remember wanting to wait to play it until I got a switch but they were all sold out at the time, so I eventually caved in and bought it fur the Wii U and it consumed my life, I loved it lol. I also eventually got the switch version and played it again years later. I played it fur the first time in the summer and even now sometimes when it's really warm and quiet outside I'm reminded of when I first played it (sounds retarded, I know lol) 
Other great games IMO are Twilight Princess, A Link Between Worlds, and A Link to the Past. I also have a soft spot fur Spirit Tracks because it's the first Zelda game I've ever played when I was like 9 lol. 

Sorry fur the wall of text, I could talk about Zelda fur a while lol.

i've been playing it pretty often, so i have considered hosting one myself. unfurtunately my current provider only allows hosting from central europe, so i probably gotta find another one. i could make it a versus server and edit it to allow mods, and put sourcemod mods that let you change your playermodel. that said, you can just download furry models on the l4d2 workshop and join any campaign game, since file consistency is not enfurced fur pve games

Well, I figured she's wearing a big shapeless bathrobe that doesn't show off her figure to its best advantage.  I did toss a little line in there, just a little line segment, really, a bit above and to the left of the top of the coffee cup, to >imply a sort of little fold in the fabric where her bazooms have a little bit of shadow.  Or maybe her chest needs some caffeine to wake up too.

And thanks. I also wanted the shading to >imply that she's just gotten out of bed and has not yet had time to brush her hair, so she's got a bit of bed-head going on there.

I wanted to try out all the anatomy I've been practicing over the last few days (in addition to some feet practice here) and I think it came out pretty well if I say so myself. Now that I have this down I can do some proper clothes practice because I have no idea how to draw wrinkles and folds in clothing, that will be interesting to try out. Happy with my improvements considering I've only been drawing fur about a week

I increased her canonical bust size because to be honest it's easier to draw and anchor the torso with a larger bust. Originally I wanted her to be more moderate but oh well, here we are. I might be trying to practice what actual puma skulls and faces look like to see if I can improve her face because I still find myself spending too much time redoing it every doodle and I want something more concrete. But a simple face has its perks too, what a conundrum.

I tried to recreate the image of Lain working on her computer, though that's a tough angle! I managed to do it pretty decently I think. More cassandra computer nerd stuff to come in the future.

I think your lineart is pretty solid, I guess maybe the cloth between her boots seems a bit strange, I feel like the folds should be going downwards, not to the side (unless they're like, blowing in the wind or something) and the folds should be almost converging at her knee, similarly to how they kinda converge on the coat of the one on the left, the folds point towards the button on their suit. But overall you did a really good job

In hindsight, staying up until 4am doing this was probably a poor decision.

After some experimenting and testing with giving her a larger snout that is more puma like I have decided I do not like it. Side profiles and angles look kinda meh and its overall not as cute, so she is going to have a more catlike face. I can still stubbornly claim she is a puma despite drawing her like a cat. 

I could not figure out how to stretch an album cover/band logo over her newly enlarged mammaries so we'll just say that this time she's wearing a shirt fur Metallica's Black Album 

Tried to get a bit more into coloring by adding some shading. It makes the shirt look a lot better when I can convey depth with color instead of lines. Still want to nail down how to do it exactly but that practice can come in the future. Also not sure I did her pleated skirt correctly, that's going to take a bit more studying

Final drawing fur the draw-a-thon, this time of Black Chan :O since I wanted to do a 'foo mascot

This was a fun challenge, finishing an entire drawing every day was pretty tough and time consuming but I definitely feel like it has helped me improve as an artist :D I said earlier in the thread that I draw really slowly and part of the reason fur that is that usually whenever I finish a sketch, I take a break and draw the lineart the next day, and whenever I finish the lineart, I take a break and do the colors the next day. Kinda difficult fur me to move between phases but I've definitely gotten better at that now lol. 

Definitely feeling a little bit burnt out from drawing so much though... :P I don't know if I would have been able to endure an entire month of this lol... 

It was really fun getting to draw a few OCs fur people in this thread, I wish I did more tbh

btw the simplest thing I can recommend is challenging yourself and observing/reading/memorizing good art
But the main rule is: if you want to, you do, if you don't want to, you don't. There are many great artists who don't use advanced anatomy
