Don't forget that the US government backed Facebook from the very start. Myspace had been online for five years when Facebook was created. Myspace had "technical problems" and got a reputation for being "buggy," and all the normies got herded into the little concrete pen labeled "Facebook" instead, the one that was built with listening devices in the wall when the foundations were laid. Only now Facebook isn't "cool" and "hip" any more, so the normies are being herded into Instagram and Tik Tok and X now.
