I went through Michael Jackson's discography recently because I'm a retarded goy and I let a movie convince me to listen to things. Albeit I remember liking his music when I had a shitty battery-powered MP3 player back when I was maybe 5 years old and it had a bunch of his songs preloaded on it. I know we're supposed to be keyed and hate niggers or whatever but uh.... Anyways, debut album's okay, but not really for me. It sounds like romantic movie soundtrack music. You know: the kind of music that sounds like sunsets and end credits? It's basically too slow and soft for my liking, overall. The harpsichord features rather prominently in it, though, and that instrument always piques my interest.
"Got To Be There" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4_w1L_sfcU ) has a nearly Baroque sounding intro. But the rest is meh.
"Rockin' Robin" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxCaW7bzrKY ) has a more classic rock 'n' roll sound that I can appreciate but it still just falls short and is too soft and flowery for my taste. Probably one of the better tracks on this album that I might randomly find myself in the mood for someday, though.
